The certifications represent a tangible imprint of Fabo’s dedication to quality, the environment and social commitment. Obtaining and maintaining them over time demonstrates that we respect the highest standards in our sector and are ready to undergo rigorous evaluation processes to ensure that our products and services meet customer expectations.
For this reason, we invest in research and continuous maintenance of certifications and we believe so much in the sector associations to which we belong. In this case, the goal is to compare ourselves with other companies and network in a complex and variable market, such as that of adhesive tape.
Company Certifications
ISO 9001
Since 2001 FABO has been certified to ISO 9001, which establishes criteria for an effective quality management system and can be applied to any type of organization, regardless of its size or sector. The standard establishes the requirements for a quality management system that allows an organization to demonstrate its ability to provide products and services that consistently meet customer requirements and applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Certification is issued by independent certification bodies after an assessment of the organization and its processes.
ISCC PLUS
The ISCC PLUS (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) certification attests to FABO’s commitment to the sustainable management of raw materials and traceability along the entire production chain. This international standard guarantees that the materials used come from responsible sources and that the processes comply with defined environmental, social, and economic criteria. The certification requires verification by independent bodies and represents a concrete step towards reducing environmental impact and promoting more sustainable production models.
Aticelca
The Aticelca certification certifies the recyclability of cellulose-based materials and products, such as paper and cardboard, according to a nationally recognized evaluation system. Based on the Aticelca 501 method, this certification relies on laboratory analyses that simulate the industrial recycling process, verifying the materials’ ability to be recovered efficiently and sustainably. Adopting this standard represents a concrete commitment to the circular economy, contributing to reducing environmental impact and promoting the use of easily recyclable materials.
UNI/PdR 125:2022
Attention to gender equality is nothing new at Fabo, but rather the fruit of a journey during which the company, led by the Human Resources Department, first assessed and then implemented a series of actions to improve the various areas involved, ultimately achieving UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification. This achievement confirms our commitment to a more inclusive, equitable, and empowering environment.
Product Certifications
FSC®
In 2022 Fabo obtained the FSC® certification for the production of adhesive tapes with paper backing. FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) is an international non-governmental, independent and non-profit organization, founded in 1993 to promote the responsible management of forests and plantations that preserve biodiversity, ecological functionality and the social benefits of trees. Its forest stewardship certification is among the most widespread in the world.
Fabo FSC® certified products are self-adhesive paper tapes and gummed paper tapes, in both the smooth and reinforced versions, both neutral and customized.
INGEDE
In 2024 Fabo obtained the INGEDE certification: this is an analysis of the adhesive removability, tested through the “Test method 12” which, based on the score obtained, determines the degree of adhesion between 4 levels.
Fabo has obtained this recognition on many BOPP products with Hot Melt adhesive, Acrylic and on self-adhesive paper, both neutral and printed. By passing the test, it is certified that the tapes can be easily separated from the packaging on which they are applied, facilitating the recycling process of paper and cardboard.

AFERA
FABO is a member of AFERA, the European Adhesive Tape Association, a trade association that represents the interests of companies within the European adhesive tape market. Associations such as AFERA play an important role in providing a platform for knowledge sharing, promotion of best practices, standardization and representation of industry interests towards European and global institutions.
ASSOGOMMA
ASSOGOMMA is a historic association serving rubber companies, co-founder of Confindustria, and a leader in the rubber, electrical cables and related products fields. The association plays a fundamental role in representing the interests of the sector, in promoting its development and in protecting the environment and workers’ health. It is a unique reference in the Italian panorama for all issues in the rubber sector.
